Robotic surgery
For tumor operations on the throat and larynx that can be performed via the mouth, we have the da Vinci Xi, a robotic assistance system that enables tissue-sparing surgery under the best possible visibility. As a valuable addition to other available systems such as the CO2 laser, we regularly use the robotic system for the surgical removal of tumors in the tonsil area, the base of the tongue and the upper part of the larynx. The surgical procedure to be used is determined as part of the individual preliminary diagnosis.
